CrestClean Runner Up at Singapore Franchise Awards
CrestClean was recently recognised by the Franchising and Licensing Association of Singapore annual awards as runner up in the “International Franchise of the Year” category.
This award honours franchisors that have excelled in their own country and are now represented internationally.
The judges commented that CrestClean “had demonstrated success in establishing its franchise business system to be the best among the international nominees”.
CrestClean is very pleased to have received the Award, and Managing Director Grant McLauchlan comments: “It was great to receive ‘runner-up’ to this prestigious award at our first try. I have been impressed with the publicity we received in Singapore, our brand was in large newspaper adverts, on posters and prominently displayed at the awards night on the large screen, together with other well-known franchise brands. We are soon to be on the map across Asia, and this award gives us the confidence that our franchise system shapes up well under international scrutiny”.
CrestClean has established a presence in Singapore, as it is a great place to enter the Asian marketplace. Singapore has a very healthy and well-respected franchise sector. There are many international and home-grown Singaporean brands that have propagated from Singapore to other parts of Asia. CrestClean Asia Pte.Ltd has been incorporated in Singapore as a launch pad for our drive to promote intentional master franchises to the South East Asian region.
The FLA Awards were launched by the Franchising and Licensing Association (FLA) Singapore in 2005 to provide a platform to showcase successful franchise concepts, and facilitate further developments of the franchise companies in international markets. Over 200 companies have since benefited from the Awards including brands like 7-Eleven, V-Kool International, Spinelli Coffee Company, Old Town Coffee and Waraku just to name a few.
FLA started as Singapore’s national franchising body and was one of the founding members of the Association, it was established in 1993 with the mission of nurturing and developing Singapore’s franchise industry.
In response to the Singapore Government’s call to move towards a knowledge based economy coupled with the increasing synergy between Franchising, Branding and Technology Licensing, the Association has taken the initiative of enlarging the membership representation to include companies engaged in Branding and Technology Licensing services.
FLA Singapore’s mission is to assist its members to gain greater exposure locally and internationally through networking events, exhibitions and trade missions. At the same time it aims to upgrade its members’ skills and knowledge in franchising and branding and licensing through its various educational programs.
The award provides a networking platform for successful franchisors around the world.
