Once you’ve decided to purchase a franchise and join Crest, we will prepare your Induction Training that will see you trained and familiarised with the duties you’ll be doing. You’ll be carefully shown how things work and how duties are best performed at a pace that suits you.

The Induction Training includes:
Familiarisation of equipment- Formal induction to SafeClean: CrestClean’s Health, Safety and Environmental Management System
- Safe chemical handling
- Explanations of cleaning procedures and techniques
- Familiarisation with the key cleaning tasks
- ‘On the job’ training with the Regional Trainer
- ‘On the job’ training at your contracts
- Safe Working Procedures
- Site Specific Health, Safety and Environmental requirements
The training is practical and is designed to ensure that all personnel are well prepared for the duties they perform.
Master Cleaners Training Institute
All Crest franchisees are enrolled in our formal industry training programmes, which are provided by Master Cleaners Training Institute.
Master Cleaners Training Institute is an Accredited Training Provider with the British Institute of Cleaning Science, the world’s largest provider of cleaning industry training. Our programmes have also been validated by an NZQA accredited Industry Training Organisation, which does ongoing moderation of our course content. Master Cleaners was established by Crest to provide franchisees with industry leading task-based training programmes, which were not available in New Zealand.
Cleaning Professionals Skills Suite (CPSS)
The foundation of our training programme is the Cleaning Professionals Skills Suite, which is known as the ‘Licence to Clean’ and is one of the most widely used cleaning qualifications. The mandatory units cover relevant NZ Health and Safety and Environmental practices and procedures.
All personnel undertake a series of modules including an induction course, practical cleaning training, proficiency assessments and annual upskilling. The training sessions are professionally conducted and are held regularly in each region.
The training is mostly practical and it is very relevant to your business. The courses are able to be adapted to cater for any individuals with language or writing difficulties. (Don’t worry!)
Annual upskilling via skills development courses and workshops ensures that all personnel are kept up to date with the latest industry developments and ‘best practice’ techniques. Attendance at CrestClean’s free training programmes is mandatory for all franchisees and team members.
