Annual site-specific Health and Safety inductions form part of CrestClean’s commitment to working safely, protecting personnel, customers and the public.

North Harbour franchisees Francis and Teneaki Nawaia completed an annual Health and Safety induction at Watercare Warkworth.

The two-hour induction covered everything from site movement to ensuring personal protective equipment is worn at all times.

“The induction covered access to the site, signing in and out, driving to and from the site, working around the wastewater plant, hazard identification and risk minimization,” he says. “It was helpful and it was a good chance for us to make sure we are doing everything correctly.”

Francis and Teneaki have been with Crest for five years.

“We take Health and Safety seriously. It is a very important part of our job.” All Crest personnel are inducted onto each site and receive site-specific Health and Safety training in the risk hazards and controls of cleaning services. This is part of SafeClean, Crest’s full Health and Safety and Environmental Management System.

North Harbour Regional Manager Neil Kumar says Francis and Teneaki, like all of CrestClean’s franchisees, take Health and Safety seriously.

“They always have a positive attitude,” he says. “They take on any comments positively and they are proud of what they do. Their customers like them and they always have a smile on their face. They are valued members of the team.”
