Training is one of Crest’s core values

Taranaki franchisees completed their Module 1 training under the guidance of Master Cleaners Training Institute CEO Adam Hodge.

Taranaki franchisees are helping Crest set new benchmarks in training for the New Zealand cleaning and hygiene workforce.

Five franchisees completed the Module 1 training course that was held in New Plymouth last month. The course, which is run through the Master Cleaners Training Institute in conjunction with CrestClean, aims to raise industry standards by equipping personnel with skills, knowledge and qualifications validated by an NZQA accredited Industry Training Provider.

Taranaki Regional Manager Prasun Acharya says franchisees enjoyed the Module 1 training course.

The Module 1 training course covered Health and Safety, chemical preparation, safe use and safe storage of equipment. Practical task training included mopping, vacuuming, window and wall washing, damp wiping and polishing. Communications and security were also covered.

“Training is one of Crest’s core values. It is vital that our frontline people – our franchisees; deliver what we promise to our customers. This is only possible because at Crest we have a culture of ongoing training and development,” he says. “The hard work we have put in for the last few months is paying off. We are getting a lot of interest from people to own a CrestClean Franchise in the Taranaki region.”

Franchisees will complete their Module 2 training later this year.

Master Cleaners CEO Adam Hodge says the Taranaki franchisees that completed the Module 1 training course demonstrated professionalism and commitment.

“The franchisees were a pleasure to work with, as was Prasun, demonstrating the professionalism and commitment required to run a successful franchise,” he says.
