High praise from multinational company
At PwC Centre in Christchurch, Grace Choi is one of the landmark building’s shining stars.
On the floor occupied by PricewaterhouseCoopers, Grace and her husband Michael Kim have won praise from staff for the high standard of cleaning and their attention to detail.
Bronwyn Hill, an Executive Assistant at the multinational company, says the couple are highly regarded. “We were very blessed to have Grace and her husband.”
Being a new building, the impressive interior and large open areas require a high level of cleaning to ensure everything is kept spick and span at all times, she said.
“They always go the extra mile and Grace has an eye for detail. Nothing is ever a problem for her.”
Keeping everything looking pristine was vital for business, Bronwyn added. “Our meeting rooms are used for our clients and it’s imperative they are spotless at all times.”
She added: “Grace does an excellent job of cleaning the large TV screens. It might seem small but it’s a big thing for us. Image is really important.”
Bronwyn says Grace is also happy to do little extras, particularly in maintaining a high level of cleanliness in the staff kitchen area. “Our staff are spoiled,” she added.
Grace and Michael are originally from South Korea and have lived in Christchurch for nine years. They moved to New Zealand to ensure their three young girls had a good education. They have owned their cleaning business for eight years.
“It’s great having our own business and we really enjoy the freedom it gives us,” says Grace, who used to run a dairy with her husband.
She enjoys being part of PricewaterhouseCooper. “It’s a lovely modern building. I love working there and the people are really nice and friendly.”
Yasa Panagoda, CrestClean’s Christchurch North Regional Manager, said the couple are model franchisees. “They always do a great job for their customers and have fantastic customer care.
“Grace and Michael started working at PricewaterhouseCooper six months ago and from day one the customer has been over the moon with the service.
“It’s a very modern building and as such it has many light coloured surfaces that mark quite easily.
“It can create some challenges but Grace has a great eye for detail and does a really good job of keeping everything looking amazing.”
