Crest’s best receive top honours
Jan Lichtwark, CrestClean’s Tauranga Regional Manager, says the couple were standouts among the new franchisees.
“They have a passion for their business. They are proactive and have learned a lot from interacting with other franchisees.
“I get great feedback from their customers about the high quality of their work.”
Moonyean, who’d worked for a home cleaning company before joining CrestClean, says being a business owner had paved the way to being able to buy their own home.
“We moved from renting at Papamoa to buying a house at Te puke where prices are lower.
“We’ve really wanted to get our own home for a while. Without Crest we wouldn’t have been able to achieve this.
“It was an amazing feeling. It’s been a few months and it’s still exciting. Sometimes we can’t believe we’ve got our own house.”
Being franchise owners has been life changing, she says. “The business is going really, really well.
“We enjoy working for ourselves and not having someone constantly telling us what to do. The money is good and we like the freedom and the hours.”
Taking the title of Franchisee of the Year was Alex Lopez. No stranger to awards, Alex was Tauranga’s Rookie Franchisee of the Year in 2016.
Last year Alex was appointed as a Regional Induction Trainer. His commitment and passion for the industry has particularly impressed Jan.
“He’s gone from strength to strength. He is good at passing on his experience to other franchisees and he’s been happy to mentor our new franchisees.
“He’s very pleasant to deal with and nothing is ever an issue. He’s had a truly outstanding year.”
Alex says he enjoys his mentoring role and meeting newbies to the industry. “We can help them achieve their full potential and show them how they can grow their business.
“This role is the highlight of my career. You show them good examples of how to do well and succeed in this business. It’s important that we are here to help motivate them.”
Also in the limelight were Tauranga franchisees Anuragni and Sangeet Chandra, who received their 3 Year Certificate of Long Service Award.
“They are consistent in doing a great job, week in and week out,” says Jan. “And their customers appreciate the high standard of work that CrestClean is known for.”
