Crest business owners received awards at the company’s recent annual team meeting in Christchurch.

Among the recipients were Rajinesh Prasad and his wife Monisha Lata, who were presented with a Certificate of Long Service. It’s been a busy 12 months for Rajinesh, who earlier this year was “fast tracked” to be one of the company’s training assessors.

The role recognised his dedication to the commercial cleaning industry, said Adam Hodge, CEO of the Master Cleaners Institute. “He cares about what he does and is committed to the job.”

CrestClean’s Christchurch North Regional Manager Yasa Panagoda says many people are now seeing the cleaning industry as long term career.

“There’s a defined career path for our personnel who want to move into training. Crest recognises hard work and talent so we can give something back to people who want to move up.”

Also honoured at the meeting was Sina Esau, who received a Certificate in Commercial Cleaning level 2 from Grant McLauchlan, Crest’s Managing Director.

Yasa says it has been a stellar year for the business. “We had a really strong start to 2018 and we gained the contract to look after the cleaning needs of 50 preschools across the city.

“We have very strong relationships in the education sector and Crest is now well known among local principals for the quality of our services.”

Gina Holland, Crest’s Christchurch South Regional Manager, says Crest’s expertise was highly valued by customers within the education sector.

“Every cleaning company has their niche market and our reputation in the early childhood care sector is second to none.”

Crest’s owner-operators were a major point of difference in comparison with other cleaning companies, she says.

“We have some fantastic teams who are highly trained. They are all business owners and they take their work very seriously and are totally focused on doing a professional job for their customers.”
