CrestClean business owner Pinakin Patel has stepped up to become the company’s Tauranga Operations Manager.

Jan Lichtwark, Tauranga Regional Manager, says Pinakin was the obvious choice for the role. “He runs a very successful family franchise and has a huge amount of experience and knowledge from his 16 years in the cleaning industry.”

Pinakin joined CrestClean in 2003 and became the company’s first franchisee in South Auckland. Although his business was successful in the City of Sails, the often gridlocked road system began to impact on his work and he decided to shift to Tauranga.

Since moving to the Bay of Plenty, Pinakin has increased the size of the family business more than tenfold. He and his brother Hitesh have become specialists in floor care.

Passionate about the industry, Pinakin became a regional trainer for Master Cleaners Training Institute. As well as inducting new franchisees into the practical side of cleaning, he enjoys passing on tips he’s learned from being a business owner.

Pinakin, who has a background as an accountant, says he’s enjoying meeting new and existing CrestClean customers in his new role.  “Every day is different. It’s rewarding to help customers with their cleaning requirements. We can plan a tailored cleaning service to meet their needs.”

As well as looking after customers, Pinakin liaises with CrestClean franchise teams to ensure they have the knowledge and practical expertise to tackle any cleaning job.

Pinakin is a great asset to the Tauranga region,” says Jan. “He helps franchisees with training and upskilling and enjoys nothing better than passing on his experience to help other business owners.”
