Meet three masters of their chosen profession.

The Tauranga trio – Junie Bag-Ayn, Ralph Sales and Tanmeet Singh – are among the latest CrestClean business owners to graduate with Master Cleaners Training Institute.

CrestClean’s Tauranga Regional Manager Jan Lichtwark was proud of the achievements of the franchisees.

“Training is highly important and it separates us from many other cleaning companies. Unlike some companies, we can prove our personnel are trained to a certain standard.

“We invest a lot in training and support and we want to ensure our people have the knowledge and the tools to best look after their customers.

“It gives customers that peace of mind that the people cleaning their premises have been fully trained to the highest level.”

Liezl Foxcroft, Master Cleaners Training Institute’s General Manager Training, say achieving the Certificate in Commercial Cleaning Level 2 is no mean feat.

“It’s huge for them to hold the certificate in their hands to know they’ve completed the whole of Module 1 and 2. Only CrestClean carries out training to this level of certification for their personnel.”

Liezl says the training begins on a franchisee’s first day with the company. “They undergo rigorous training beginning with a three-week induction.”

A compulsory two-day training session is followed later by a two day assessment session.

She was impressed with the Tauranga personnel she assessed. “They were all to standard and even beyond. Some of them could even teach me a few things as it works both ways.

“It’s just not me training them, it’s them training the trainer as well. They are the ones at the coalface doing the work and they learn the tricks of the trade. There’s always something new to learn.”

Liezl says it’s imperative to have up-to-date training and personnel equipped with the latest cleaning equipment. “As buildings become more modernised we have to come up with modern ways of cleaning those buildings as well.”
