TV3 news features CrestClean team as schools prepare to reopen
CrestClean personnel have appeared in a TV3 news story covering preparations for the planned reopening next week of the nation’s schools.
Newshub reporter Tom McRae filmed CrestClean business owner Anmol Prasad and his wife Vikashni Devi in a classroom at Howick Primary School. Also featured in the report was Liezl Foxcroft, who oversees the training of CrestClean teams around the country.

As McRae told viewers that “cleaning every surface at every school and every childcare centre” was the challenge over the next week, the CrestClean couple were shown cleaning down and wiping surfaces with CrestClean’s Anti-Viral Sanitiser. The product is the first disinfectant to be released in New Zealand with an official rating against coronavirus.
The story was the main item on last night’s early evening news and was seen by tens of thousands of viewers watching on TV and online.
Anmol, who has been with CrestClean for 10 years, said he felt honoured to represent the company. “I was pretty excited when I was asked to take part in the filming.”
He says being in the spotlight was a chance to demonstrate that CrestClean’s services are second to none. “We are trained professionally and we know what to do in this pandemic.
“When we are cleaning schools we are using chemicals that are proven to kill the coronavirus. We have to ensure everything is properly cleaned and sanitised so we can stop this virus.”
He says ensuring schools were thoroughly cleaned and sanitised when they reopen would give teachers and parents the reassurance they needed. But it would be ongoing work. “We have to make sure all the surfaces people come into contact with are clean and sanitised properly every day.
“As cleaners we have to look after ourselves too. There will be lots of children coming in from all different bubbles and when we are working we will wear the appropriate level of personal protective equipment.”
Liezl told McRae that CrestClean personnel were working to ensure “everything was germ free and clean” so schools could be up and running again.
Recently Liezl, General Manager Training for Master Cleaners Training Institute, completed an intensive series of training seminars with the Global Biorisk Advisory Council. The in-depth course has a strong emphasis on SARS-Cov-2/COVID-19.
She says for CrestClean to be asked to appear in a TV news item on school cleaning was not a surprise. “We are highly respected by the schools and educational establishments that we provide cleaning services for.
“We look after hundreds of schools and early learning centres throughout the country. People can have confidence that the cleaning and hygiene is of the highest level.”
