New Zealand Blood Service staff have taken a real shine to CrestClean business owner Zaldy Verallo.

They’ve been impressed by his attitude and the high standard of his work as he ensures everything is clean and hygenic at the numerous venues used by organisation’s mobile collection clinics.

Sandra Horwell, Administration Team Leader, Christchurch New Zealand Blood Service, says Zaldy has made a big impression. “I would like to say the mobile team are really enjoying having Zaldy with them, they call him our one man cleaning machine.”

The glowing accolade comes as no surprise to Gina Holland, CrestClean’s Christchurch South Regional Manager.

“Since he’s come on board with CrestClean we’ve had nothing but fantastic feedback that Zaldy goes above and beyond for his customers. I’m really proud of him. This sort of work is relatively new to him but he’s just taken it all in his stride.”

Zaldy ensures all surfaces and ‘touch’ points are constantly sanitised when the clinics are taking place. “He’s walking through all the different areas of the building to ensure everything is clean,” says Gina.

She says it’s testament to CrestClean’s high standards and its industry acclaimed training that the company was selected to be contract cleaners for the NZ Blood Service.

“It’s a privilege to partner up with such an important customer like NZ Blood. It’s great that they recognise CrestClean as leaders in the cleaning industry. It really goes without saying that hygiene and sanitisation is the number one thing on our customers’ minds right now.”

Zaldy says he feels a strong sense of pride in carrying out his role to ensure that every venue where people come to donate blood is kept clean and hygenic.

“I want people to be able to feel safe when they come to donate blood. I feel I’m doing an important job for the community. It’s about the safety of the team and everyone using the service. The team are all really nice and they are very professional.”

Also involved in carrying out sanitising for the New Zealand Blood Service is CrestClean business owner Smit Chaudhari. He has been working at the organisation’s main collection centre in Christchurch.
