Another successful year as Sunny picks up top award
His all-round contribution to his CrestClean region has won Sunny Yang another major accolade.
Sunny recently picked up the title of Team Player of the Year for Christchurch North 2020 – just a year on from winning Franchisee of the Year.
Regional Manager Yasa Panagoda says it was not a hard decision to arrive at. “Sunny never says no and he delivers quality work and I receive great feedback from customers.”
Going the extra mile was also appreciated, says Yasa. “When other franchisees are away Sunny is the first person to put up his hand to help out.
“He also goes out his way to give up his time to help and encourage new franchisees and pass on his knowledge.”
As well as being a cleaning star, Sunny has played a leading role in the CrestClean’s Global Superstars campaign. Last year he represented China to celebrate CrestClean’s cultural diversity. Its franchise owners are from nearly 60 countries, all operating successful cleaning businesses.
In a series of unique videos, franchise owners explained in their own language what they most enjoyed about being a CrestClean business owner. Sunny was not only filmed carrying out cleaning duties, the video captured him demonstrating his talents on the basketball court.
Sunny bought a CrestClean franchise in 2009 after graduating from business studies at Canterbury University with a double major.
He decided to join the cleaning industry because he wanted to be his own own boss and not to work for someone else.
As well as being a successful franchisee, Sunny enjoys passing on his industry knowledge skills as a Regional Trainer for Master Cleaners Training Institute.
“I enjoying helping people improve their cleaning skills and how to run their business. I just share my experiences with them. Helping people brings a real sense of achievement. I felt really proud to receive the award.”
