CrestClean shows its commitment to the healthcare sector at GP conference

CrestClean recently attended the General Practice Conference and Medical Exhibition in Rotorua, signalling its ongoing commitment to the healthcare sector.

It is the first time a cleaning company has had an exhibition stand at the event, which was run in conjunction with the New Zealand Medical Association and attended by 900 GPs, practice managers, pharmacists and other healthcare professionals.

Tauranga Regional Master Franchisee Jan Lichtwark, who attended the conference, says it was a successful and worthwhile couple of days.

“Hygiene is such an important part of what healthcare providers do, and our presence showcased our level of professionalism, while reinforcing our commitment to the sector,” says Jan.

Tauranga Regional Master Franchisee Jan Lichtwark and Tauranga Operations Manager Pinakin Patel had many productive conversations with conference delegates.

“There was a lot of interest in our stand. People were keen to find out more about our services and the chemicals that we use.”

Plenty of flyers and hand sanitiser samples were handed out and there were lots of entries for the CrestClean gift hamper prize draw, which was won by Mary-Anne Schaab.

“Mary-Anne is a nurse who is taking a sabbatical and working with iwi in the upper North Island, providing services to the local marae. She was very grateful to win the hamper, as she told us she never wins anything!” says Rotorua Regional Master Franchisee Mark Fredrick, who made the presentation.

“It was interesting to meet the other exhibitors and see what innovating products are becoming available, particularly in hygiene,” says Mark.

CrestClean provides cleaning services to many surgeries and clinics throughout New Zealand and recently introduced a new, dedicated Healthcare Training Module to train its teams in the specialist cleaning of healthcare facilities.

While CrestClean franchisees have always received training to service these high-risk sites, the new formalised qualification, delivered by the CrestClean’s Master Cleaners Training Institute (MCTI), brings an added layer of assurance to healthcare providers.

Its cleaning teams follow step-by-step safe systems of work using leading edge chemicals and are supported by Quality Assurance Co-ordinators who carry out regular on-site assessments to ensure high standards are maintained.
