Santa makes special appearance at CrestClean’s Invercargill Christmas party
Invercargill franchisees and their families enjoyed a day of fun and festivities at the region’s annual Christmas party, with Santa making a special appearance, arriving in a police patrol car and delivering gifts to the children.
The event was hosted by Invercargill Regional Master Franchisee Glenn Cockroft, with the patrol car being part of the Traffic Enforcement Museum, which is located at his property.
“Santa arrived with lights flashing and the siren blaring to the delight of everyone!” says Glenn.
“Everyone enjoyed a buffet lunch, including ‘lechon’, which is a Filipino delicacy. There were also casseroles, vegetarian dishes and I made some large pavlovas, fruit salad and jellies for dessert.”
Certificates were presented to six franchise teams in recognition of Long Service, with Franchise of the Year for the Invercargill Region 2022 being awarded to Julie and Victorio Cacdac.
A special certificate was also given to Janeth Luna, who has been with CrestClean for eight years, for going “above and beyond” to help out other franchisees when they have needed to take leave due to illness and family reasons.
Presenting the awards was Invercargill MP Penny Simmonds. “Penny is very supportive of anything do with new New Zealanders. She appreciates all the hard work they do to help keep the country running,” says Glenn.
“It was a great day. We had about 90 franchisee and family members turn up for the day, fortunately the weather held up! For our newer franchisees it was a good opportunity to get to know the other franchisees. We didn’t have a Christmas party last year because of Covid and, while we had a team meeting earlier this year, it was good to have a social gathering where everyone could sit back, relax and enjoy their time together.”
