Francis and Teneaki Nawaia’s journey with CrestClean has been nothing short of outstanding. The couple received the Outstanding Award last October – a well-deserved recognition of their exceptional service as CrestClean franchisees.

Since becoming part of CrestClean, Francis and Teneaki have experienced remarkable growth, achieving a turnover of more than $350k.

Before embarking on their successful journey, Teneaki, a former caregiver in aged care, and Francis, who once worked on a capsicum farm, found themselves juggling full-time and part-time jobs to supplement their income and support their eight children.

Realising that working around the clock meant less time spent with family, Francis and Teneaki were determined to improve their financial situation and gain a better work-life balance.

“We had our full-time jobs as well as part-time cleaning jobs,” says Teneaki.

“We were not earning enough. We have eight children, so we started looking for other ways to support them.”

After being introduced to CrestClean by a fellow franchisee, Francis and Teneaki were captivated by the idea of owning a business and being their own bosses. When they purchased a CrestClean franchise in 2011, they set a goal to grow their business and eventually purchase their own home.

“When we joined CrestClean, our goal for the business was to grow and grow so we could buy a house,” says Teneaki.

Two years ago, Francis and Teneaki fulfilled this dream and purchased a modern, spacious home in Wellsford. They now have plenty of space for their children and grandchildren to come and stay.

Francis and Teneaki love working for themselves and calling the shots.

“You are the boss. You own your own business, so you don’t have to work the usual morning to afternoon. And… you earn more money,” says Teneaki.

Becoming a CrestClean franchisee has given Teneaki and Francis financial stability, quality time with their family, and the satisfaction of shaping their own success story.

“Thank you, Crest, for always supporting us,” says Teneaki.

Encouraged by the couple’s success, two of their daughters and a nephew now own a CrestClean franchise. Francis and Teneaki hope more of their children will become franchisees in the future.

“I’m planning to put more children into the business and I’m trying to encourage them,” says Teneaki.

This dynamic duo’s thriving business is a testament to their determination. North Harbour Regional Manager, Neil Kumar describes Francis and Teneaki as friendly, hardworking and honest.

“They are role models for the rest of the team,” says Neil.
