Shailesh and Ravina celebrate flexibility and freedom as franchisees

Shailesh Chandra and Ravina Prasad recently marked a decade as successful CrestClean franchisees – a testament to their dedication and hard work.

Originally from Fiji, Shailesh moved to New Zealand in 2008 to work at Kiwi Bus Builders. Ravina balanced a job at Greerton Foursquare with part-time work at a friend’s CrestClean franchise.

Impressed by CrestClean’s potential, Shailesh and Ravina made the life-changing decision to buy their own franchise. Shailesh initially juggled his full-time job with evening cleaning work, but when he was unexpectedly made redundant, he was able to put his full attention into his business. While it was a major shift in circumstance, it was a blessing in disguise that ultimately paved the way for a bright future for the couple.

Ravina left her job at Foursquare and the couple put all their efforts into building a thriving business. Their hard work paid off quickly and they were able to purchase a home in their third year as franchisees.

“I wanted to travel and I wanted to buy a house. I could save money to do these things. I bought a house in Greerton seven years ago,” says Shailesh.

Shailesh and Ravina are always looking for ways to expand their business, offering additional services, such as floor polishing, to their growing customer base. Their commitment to customers has been the driving force behind their six-figure annual turnover.

Owning their own business also gives them the flexibility to manage their work schedule in a way that suits them best.

“Family life is very good. We enjoy lots of time together,” says Shailesh.

Regional Master Franchisee, Jan Lichtwark, considers Shailesh and Ravina to be standout business owners and role models to other CrestClean franchisees.

“Shailesh and Ravina have been great franchisees for many years and always go the extra mile to look after the customers. They have a great relationship with many other franchisees and all their customers large and small,” says Jan.

“It has been a pleasure to get to know Shailesh and Ravina and to celebrate their 10 years of owning their business.”
