Siddhesh embraces bright new chapter as proud homeowner

CrestClean franchise owner Siddhesh Sharad Dhepe and his wife Sonali are proud homeowners in Rotorua.

For Siddhesh Sharad Dhepe, homeownership was once an unobtainable dream, but after only two years as a CrestClean franchise owner, he’s turned that dream into a reality.

Having been searching for the perfect home for his growing family for more than a year, Siddhesh often felt disheartened by rising house prices. He persevered, keeping a close eye on property listings each day. His patience paid off when he was the first to submit an offer on a property the same day that it was listed. The next thing he knew, he was the proud owner of a spacious 230sqm house on a 511sqm section.

With everything he’d hoped for in a home, it was well worth the wait.

After giving the house a fresh coat of paint, Siddhesh and his family were all moved in by early November. With their second child due in late December, he and his wife Sonali couldn’t have found a more perfect time to settle into a home they can call their own.

“It feels great to finally have our own house,” says Siddhesh.

Before joining CrestClean, Siddhesh worked in hospitality for nearly 14 years, often clocking 50 – 60 hours a week. But no matter how hard he worked, homeownership felt out of reach.

“I worked as hard as I could in hospitality, but I’d have never earned what I earn with CrestClean,” he says.

Becoming a franchise owner was the turning point Siddhesh needed. Since starting in December 2022, he’s nearly tripled his turnover, and he credits his franchise for giving him the opportunity to purchase a home.

“It’s been fantastic since the first day. I’m really happy,” he says.

“The CrestClean franchise helped me to buy the house. It would have been really hard for me to do that working in hospitality.”

With plenty of DIY projects in the pipeline, Siddhesh has enough to keep him busy for a while. He’s just finished transforming the overgrown garden, bringing the large outdoor space back to life with new trees, plants and even a vegetable garden.

“My favourite thing about the house is the garden. I love gardening,” he says.

Next, he plans to convert the self-contained flat at the back of the house into an Airbnb and create an additional income stream for his family. He’s also in the process of splitting the large laundry room into two separate spaces, one of which will be transformed into a home office for Shiddesh.

Exciting times lie ahead for the Dhepe family. Purchasing a home came at just the right moment, and thanks to Siddhesh’s patience, the family has found the perfect place to settle and begin their new chapter.
