Cesar’s stunning photo lands a spot on One News

CrestClean franchise owner and part-time photographer Cesar Rogacion has his photo featured on One News.

Cesar Rogacion’s photography recently grabbed attention when the photo he captured while cleaning the Port of Tauranga was featured during a One News weather report.

The Tauranga franchise owner was inspired to submit his photo after watching the nightly news and seeing a different image featured each evening. With photography being his part-time hobby, Cesar reaches for his iPhone whenever there’s an opportunity to snap a beautiful shot.

Seeing a very moody Mauao from the Port one morning, he knew he had to capture the moment.

“I had to take this photo. It was so beautiful,” he says.

“I’m thankful and proud that they acknowledged it.”

This isn’t the first time Cesar’s photography has been featured on the news. Whenever he captures a standout photo, he submits it to One News in the hope it will be featured. He credited one of his previous submissions to his son to let him enjoy the spotlight when the photo appeared on TV.

“He brought the photo to school to show his friends that his name was on the news,” laughs Cesar.

As a dedicated worker at the Port of Tauranga, Cesar enjoys a unique vantage point, gaining access to high-security areas that are closed off to the general public. From Monday to Friday, he cleans the Mount side in the morning and the Sulphur Point side in the afternoon, providing him with ever-changing views of Mauao. While the Port is a bustling and demanding place to work, Cesar says the stunning scenery makes it all worthwhile.

“We at CrestClean are very privileged to work here at the Port.”
