CrestClean MCTI trainers – the hardworking heroes driving franchisee success

MCTI trainer Mohammed Ashad equips franchisees with skills needed to deliver quality commercial cleaning.

CrestClean wouldn’t be what it is today without our exceptional trainers certified by the Master Cleaners Training Institute (MCTI). Behind every franchisee with a Certificate of Commercial Cleaning is a MCTI trainer making it happen. These qualified trainers ensure every franchise team is set up for success.

One of those dedicated trainers is Mohammed Ashad. The South Auckland franchise owner knows a thing or two about hard work – he’s been a MCTI trainer for four years while also running a thriving CrestClean business. Mohammed travels the country helping franchisees sharpen their skills in every aspect of commercial cleaning.

But that’s not all. Mohammed also provides induction training for new franchisees, guiding them through their first few weeks and making sure they get off to a great start. It’s a demanding role, but somehow, he balances it all. He credits his success to the support of his wife and employees.

“I travel all around the country, but when I’m away, my wife looks after the business,” he says.

His hard work continues to pay off with each passing year. In just eight years, his once modest franchise has grown into a large-scale business.

“It’s not easy, but it’s all about organising yourself well,” he says.

Mohammed has had a busy start to the year, ensuring new franchisees receive the training needed to provide a high standard of cleaning. Franchisees arrive at training sessions equipped with their cleaning equipment, ready to learn the best techniques from trainers like Mohammed. From measuring chemicals for proper dilution to vacuuming with health and safety in mind, every detail is covered.

“We look at everything when we do their assessment. We cover all tasks – cleaning windows, washrooms, vacuuming, mopping – all the particulars in their Schedule of Duties,” says Mohammed.

Most recently, he worked with new Nelson franchisees Elizabeth and Guthrie Beatson, guiding them through their Certificate of Commercial Cleaning Module 2 training. Mohammed was impressed by how quickly they picked up new skills and how well-organised they were from the get-go.

“They’re doing very well,” he says.

“They’re very organised and have set up their van really well. They’ve made sure that everything in their van has a place.”

Elizabeth and Guthrie Beatson are some of Mohammed’s recent trainees.

Thanks to Mohammed and our dedicated CrestClean MCTI trainers, franchise teams get the skills and confidence to hit the ground running and deliver outstanding customer service from day one.
