Annual conference unites QAs and Trainers for collaboration and growth

CrestClean Quality Assurance Co-ordinators and Trainers came together for their annual conference last week.

CrestClean’s Quality Assurance Co-ordinators recently gathered for their annual conference and for the first time, Trainers were part of the event. The combined conference was a huge success, with everyone thoroughly enjoying the chance to connect, collaborate, and share ideas.

Hawke’s Bay QA Charlize Pederson says it was a rare opportunity for QAs and Trainers to come together as they work independently throughout the year.

“It really felt like a reunion,” she says.

“It is always good to connect with the other QA’s – it’s our favourite time of year. We spend 99% of the year working solo, so it’s nice catching up with the others and sharing ideas.”

The event featured a strong focus on Health and Safety, with insightful addresses from Managing Director Grant McLauchlan and General Manager of Franchise Services Sam Lewis.

Attendees also had the chance to share ideas that could help shape the company’s future vision. In the end, everyone was on the same page, agreeing that CrestClean’s QAs and Trainers are one team with a shared goal: to ensure consistent cleaning quality across all sites and to build trust with both customers and franchisees.

The conference highlighted many important insights. QAs and Trainers discussed the complexities of cleaning, with many variables contributing to consistency and quality across all sites. Despite this, everyone agreed that CrestClean’s internal training standards remain industry-leading, thanks to the dedication and leadership of General Manager of Training Liezl Foxcroft.

Above all, there was a genuine appreciation for our franchisees, who really are the heart and soul of CrestClean. Trainers got a special shoutout too – they’re not only amazing at what they do, but they also manage run their own cleaning businesses at the same time.

“We reflected on how valuable our time is together. We learn so much from each other,” says Charlize.

“We feel better connected and ready for a new year of working hard.”
