CrestClean partners with Yachting New Zealand to bring RecycleKiwi® packs to clubs Nationwide
CrestClean has teamed up with Yachting New Zealand to bring free RecycleKiwi® resource packs to yacht clubs all around the country!
This partnership is part of Yachting New Zealand’s Clean Club programme, which supports clubs to take practical steps towards caring for the environment. By joining Clean Club, yacht clubs can show their commitment to protecting our oceans while making it simple for members to play their part in positive change.
The Clean Club programme helps clubs work towards best-practice standards across five key areas: Administration & Leadership, Waste Management, Resource Conservation, Community Outreach, and Education. Clubs are then recognised with one, two, or three stars depending on the level they’ve achieved. It’s all about encouraging sustainable habits, involving members, and creating a cleaner, safer space for both people and marine life.
With RecycleKiwi®, clubs now have extra tools to make recycling and waste reduction part of everyday club life. Alisa Torgersen is Yachting New Zealand’s Clean Club Programme Lead. She says RecycleKiwi® resources will give yacht clubs practical ways to reduce waste and make a real difference for the marine environment.
“Just like RecycleKiwi teaches schools to recycle properly, Yachting New Zealand is committed to helping clubs make smart, environmentally responsible choices,” Alisa says.
“Both programmes show that small changes can make a big difference, and by connecting land and water sustainability efforts, CrestClean and Yachting New Zealand are proving that everyone – from students to sailors – can help create a cleaner New Zealand.”
To celebrate the partnership, our design team has created a bright, eye-catching poster for yacht clubs to display, highlighting the 4Rs of recycling – refuse, reduce, reuse, and recycle.
