CrestClean franchise owners thanked far and wide on Thank Your Cleaner Day

Tauranga franchise owner Malcolm Brown receives a well-deserved ‘thank you’ on Thank Your Cleaner Day.

Across New Zealand, Thank Your Cleaner Day was marked in many meaningful ways, as CrestClean teams, corporate staff, and customers took time to recognise the dedicated people who keep our workplaces clean, safe, and healthy.

Held every October, Thank Your Cleaner Day is an international event that celebrates the vital work of cleaners everywhere. It’s a chance to stop and thank those who work tirelessly (often behind the scenes and outside regular hours) to make sure our spaces are welcoming for everyone.

From regional gatherings to customer-led surprises, CrestClean teams across the country embraced the spirit of the day.

With Adrian and Kylie Cashmore hosting in Wellington, and Kelsey Gibson hosting in Rotorua, both regions held relaxed morning teas where franchisees and their teams could take a well-earned break, enjoy some good food, and feel truly appreciated.

“Cleaning is one of the most essential industries in the world,” says Kylie.

“Every day, our dedicated franchise teams work tirelessly – day and night, weekdays and weekends – to ensure our customers enjoy clean, safe, and hygienic working environments.”

The Wellington team also took the opportunity to celebrate Chandan Bhaskar and Kitesa Panapa, who both reached seven years as franchise owners — a fantastic achievement!

As the new Regional Manager for Rotorua and Taupō, this was Kelsey’s first Thank Your Cleaner Day. She fully embraced the opportunity to celebrate her team and connect with franchisees, making it a memorable introduction to the event. She’s already looking forward to making next year’s celebration even bigger!

“It was a wonderful opportunity to celebrate our Rotorua and Taupo teams!” she says.

Meanwhile, CrestClean’s Marketing team marked the day by celebrating franchise owner Malcolm Brown, with coffee, cake, and a personalised card, designed in-house by CrestClean’s graphic designer. It was a simple but meaningful way to show appreciation for the person who keeps their workspace spotless.

It was great to see the appreciation extend beyond CrestClean’s own teams too. In Auckland East, Riverhills School surprised their cleaner Aman Singh Kareer with chocolates and a thank-you card, while in Dunedin, SLR Consulting gifted their cleaners Matthew Son and Rachel Park a card and small gift hamper.

From Wellington to Rotorua, Auckland to Dunedin, the celebrations highlighted how grateful we are for the important work our amazing franchise owners do every day.
