Best Practice meetings give Tauranga franchisees a strong start

Tauranga Quality Assurance Co-ordinator Woo-Sung Lee and Operations Manager Pinakin Patel host new franchisees at Best Practice meeting.

Whenever Tauranga Regional Manager Jan Lichtwark welcomes two or more new franchisees into the region, he brings them together for a ‘Best Practice’ meeting. These sessions give new teams a valuable insight into how CrestClean operates as part of a larger franchise system and help them feel supported as they begin their business journey.

Alongside Quality Assurance Co-ordinator Woo-Sung Lee and Operations Manager Pinakin Patel, Jan explains the standards and systems that sit behind the CrestClean brand. For many franchisees, it’s an important first step in understanding that customers choose CrestClean for our commitment to quality and consistency.

“The sessions give franchisees a clearer understanding of what sets CrestClean apart from other cleaning companies and why consistency across the brand matters,” says Jan.

The meetings cover everything from training through to CrestClean’s core values. Jan, Woo-Sung and Pinakin also explain how details such as tidy uniforms, ID badges, sign-written vehicles, and environmentally responsible cleaning products all play a vital role in helping franchisees run their business professionally.

Jan has a simple but effective way of explaining why following ‘best practice’ is so important.

“I often use the analogy of McDonald’s – if you purchase a McDonald’s franchise, you cannot make the burgers any way you like, dress staff however you choose, or remove the signage,” explains Jan.

“Successful brands are built on trust, consistency, and shared values, which we must uphold.”

Jan says many of the challenges franchisees face in their first year are not due to a lack of effort or commitment, but simply a lack of industry experience and understanding of the systems behind the business they have invested in. He has found the Best Practice meetings give new teams a stronger understanding of how the franchise system works.

The Best Practice meetings also allow franchisees the chance to connect with one another and learn the value of supporting each other as part of the wider CrestClean team. By sharing knowledge early and encouraging open conversations, Tauranga franchisees build strong foundation from the very beginning.
