CrestClean thanks Hamilton Boys’ High School staff for a strong four-year partnership

A morning tea at Hamilton Boys’ High School gave CrestClean’s cleaning teams the chance to say thank you to the school staff they have built such a strong relationship with over the past four years.

Hamilton Boys’ High School has been one of CrestClean’s biggest customers since October 2022. To show their appreciation, Hamilton Regional Manager Nivitesh Kumar delivered pizzas and garlic bread for the school staff, joined by Quality Assurance Co-ordinator Ginny Lucas, Administration Assistant Karena Townsend and members of the cleaning teams.

Staff came out to join them, and the feedback was extremely positive. They appreciated the thought that had gone into taking the time to do something special for them.

It was also a lovely opportunity for the cleaning teams to spend time with the people they work alongside every day and hear how much the school values the relationship they have with CrestClean.

Director of Administration Kristin Rillstone says CrestClean is a “truly reliable and high-quality cleaning partner.”

“The teams bring an incredible level of care, responsiveness and professional customer services to HBHS every single day.”

Hamilton Boys’ High School is a large site, with five CrestClean teams responsible for different areas. Along with classrooms and administration areas, the school has a boarding house, halls and communal spaces to keep clean every day.

Robert and Elvira Mendoza are one of the teams looking after the administration block, halls and Buildings A, B and C. With four employees helping their team, there’s plenty to keep everyone busy. Robert, Elvira and their team arrive at around 3pm and get stuck in, making sure their areas are clean, tidy and ready for the boys the following day.

During the school holidays, the teams take on term cleans – deep cleans that cover every inch of the school from top to bottom. With a site this size, the work can often keep the teams busy for much of the holidays.

For Robert and Elvira, getting to know the school and building a good relationship with staff has been an important part of their success. After four years, the school remains very happy with the quality of the cleaning.

It’s a relationship that works both ways, with the CrestClean teams now considered part of the school community.

“They truly feel like part of our own staff, treating the school with the same respect and ownership as we do.”

Robert and Elvira are very happy to work somewhere they feel respected and valued. They have developed a particularly close relationship with Property Manager Nigel Harris, who is always available when they need him.

If something needs fixing or replacing, all they need to do is send him a quick text and he takes care of it immediately.

“We are very happy because the school staff are so nice. We don’t encounter any problems at all,” says Elvira.

The morning tea was a simple gesture, but it reflected the genuine appreciation on both sides and the strong relationship that has grown between the school and its CrestClean teams.

The morning tea was a nice way for everyone to get together – something that doesn’t happen often in a busy school environment!
