Holiday a reward for 10 years’ service
A family holiday to his homeland is on the cards to celebrate 10 successful years with CrestClean.
Anthony Mudaliar arrived in New Zealand from Fiji in 1994 and says joining Crest was the smartest move he’s made.
Now after clocking up a decade as a franchisee, Anthony is planning a family holiday with the $2000 travel voucher to mark his Long Service Award.
Over the past decade Anthony’s seen his Christchurch business double in size. He says Crest has also grown in that time but it still retains a family feel.
“Crest was a smaller company when I joined10 years ago. I’ve really enjoyed it as everyone is very friendly,” he said.
Anthony says hard work pays off and his business has given him the ability to fit work around his family life. “With Crest if you are prepared to put in the effort you can do really well.”
Before he joined CrestClean Anthony, 48, worked as an electrician but the hours were long.
He likes the flexibility his Crest business gives him.
“Crest is a good company and I’ve been very happy and enjoy my work,” he said.
Kiri James, Crest’s Christchurch South Regional Manager, said Anthony is a valued member of her team.
“He covers a variety of sites from a medical centre, offices, a gym and he even looks after a manufacturing site. He has also looked after schools in the past.”
Kiri said Anthony’s commitment to the job is outstanding and he’s a role model franchisee.
“Anthony is worth his weight in gold over the holiday period when our customers want all their extras done.
“He is my go-to franchisee for carpet cleaning and hard floor care and does a fantastic job in these areas. He finds himself very busy especially over the Christmas period.
Being a franchisee means a lot of customer contact, which helps cement good working relationships, added Kiri.
“Anthony always has a story to tell when we catch up and also enjoys talking with his customers. He is originally from Fiji but has made his life here in New Zealand with his family whom he is very proud of.
“He is in the process of finishing fixing up his existing home for sale before he moves in to a new home, which is being built for him.
“Anthony has just signed on for another 10 years, so I am looking forward to seeing his business progress over this time.”
