Pride of business ownership shines bright
Nasreen Kaskar is so overjoyed about gaining her Certificate of Long Service that she likes to keep it close by.
“The certificate is on a table next to my bed. I’m really proud of what I have achieved,” said the Christchurch franchisee, who has been with CrestClean for three years.
Nasreen and her husband Nisar bought their franchise after arriving in Christchurch from Auckland. Their business has been a huge success. From their initial investment they have tripled its size and at the end of last year they moved into a brand new home.
They have been praised by customers for the quality of their work. “I’m so happy with my business,” says Nasreen. “It’s a good feeling and it’s lovely to get nice comments from my customers.”
Nasreen loves the lifestyle and the flexibility of being her own boss. When she was searching for a job the idea of owning a cleaning business ticked all the boxes, she added.
“I said to my husband ‘what can I do?’ We decided to buy a small cleaning business and it’s worked out really well for me.
“I can work evenings and in the daytime I can look after my kids and do my housework.”
Gina Holland, CrestClean’s Christchurch South Regional Manager, says Nasreen and Nisar are model franchisees.
“They are a hard working husband and wife team. It’s great that they’ve been able to move into a brand new house.
“We always appreciate Nasreen’s baking and cooking as well. She always brings a plate of delicious treats when we all get together!”
