Sun, surf and CRM for tech trainer during trip to Tauranga
FaceTime was replaced with ‘face-to-face time’ when CrestClean’s CRM whizz Claire Duell visited the Tauranga office this week.
With CrestClean spread the length and breadth of the country Claire, who is based at head office in Dunedin, is used to taking staff through their paces via video calls.
So, when she was asked if she would come to Tauranga to upskill Administration Assistant Sapphire Taylor on CrestClean’s new CRM system, she jumped at the opportunity.
“I mainly work in CRM — I do all the training and support work. There are about 80 CRM users, so it’s pretty busy. There’s a lot of screensharing and FaceTiming!” says Claire.
Claire joined CrestClean 10 months ago as ICT Trainer and Support, following a year spent as a business analyst for a utilities company. Prior to that she had spent eight years in retail, before completing a degree in IT.
Her two-day Tauranga trip was her first off-site visit, and the first time she had visited the sunny Bay of Plenty.
A self-confessed “homebody”, who likes to watch movies, listen to music and spend time with family, Claire took the opportunity during her trip to do some sightseeing and spend some time at Mount Maunganui beach.
“I couldn’t come all this way and not visit the beach!” she says.
Involved in the implementation of CrestClean’s new CRM last year, Claire says she is really enjoying both the nature of her work with CrestClean and the company culture.
“I really like working with all the different people and getting to know them. It’s a really fun company to work for and everyone is so nice. They’ve been so welcoming and friendly.”
Sapphire, who has been with CrestClean for four years and recently returned after six-months’ maternity leave, was really appreciative of Claire’s help and advice.
“There have been lots of changes since I’ve been away, so it was an opportunity to catch up with everything and make sure I’m doing everything right,” says Sapphire.
“It was great to meet Claire in person and to have her on hand to answer all my questions.”
