Wellington franchisees double down on Carpet Care capacity
Wellington franchisees Poni Faavae and Kitesa Panapa have pooled resources to bolster the region’s Carpet Care services.
The two men have completed a Carpet Care course with CrestClean’s Master Cleaners Training Institute and invested jointly in a carpet cleaning machine.
The new qualification and equipment mean they will be able to offer carpet cleaning services to both existing and new customers.
“The Wellington region is delighted to be able to train and increase the number of specialist carpet cleaners we have in our local team,” says Wellington Regional Manager Zainab Ali.
“Poni and Kitesa are highly valued members of our region and service some of our largest customers in Wellington. Their attention to detail and work ethic means that our customers will continue to receive this level of service not only with their day-to-day commercial cleaning but also with their carpet cleaning.”
The two franchisees will prioritise customers in Wellington and Hutt Valley who require commercial carpet cleaning and upholstery cleaning, says Zainab.
“Their training over three days was a great success. They have the equipment, plant and skills to ensure they can provide a high-quality service to our customers.”
Poni joined CrestClean in 2009, and Kitesa in 2018.
Originally from Tuvalu, where he worked as an environmental scientist on the government’s climate change strategy, Poni started looking into buying a franchise before moving to New Zealand.
“I really enjoy it, and I wanted to do all the specialist training so I could grow my business,” says Poni, who is also qualified in Hard Floor Care.
Kitesa says it was Poni who told him about CrestClean and recommended that he also buy a franchise.
“He saw how hardworking I was and thought I would do well,” says Kitesa.
“We did the Carpet Care course together so we could do all our own carpet cleans. We both want to expand our businesses.”
