Grace Choi celebrates 15-year milestone as CrestClean franchise owner
Grace and Michael Choi emigrated from South Korea to New Zealand in 2008. With three small children in tow, they were looking for opportunities to build a successful life here. Inspired by the success of her brother-in-law, Grace decided to pursue a CrestClean franchise. This decision paid off as Grace has recently celebrated an impressive 15 years as a proud business owner.
The couple initially juggled operating both a CrestClean franchise and a sweet shop. After two years, they realised the potential for growth and decided to focus solely on their CrestClean franchise.
Business ownership has enabled Grace to balance work with raising her three children. Her daughter Phoebe fondly recalls having her mum at home during the day when she and her siblings were little.
“She took care of us during the day, and that was a big benefit of having her own business,” says Phoebe.
As the children grew older, the family business offered them a great part-time job during university holidays.
CrestClean has been instrumental in helping Grace and Michael achieve many of their financial goals, including homeownership, for which Grace is very grateful.
Now, with their children grown and independent, Grace and Michael are shifting their focus to personal goals, including future travel.
Throughout their 15-year journey, CrestClean’s support has far exceeded their expectations. Phoebe says her mother often speaks about how well-supported they’ve felt throughout the years.
Christchurch Regional Master Franchisee, Yasa Panagoda, is proud to see Grace and Michael achieve their 15-year long service.
“Both Grace and Michael are valuable members of CrestClean and I’m privileged to have them in my team.”
