Meet the cleanest classrooms in South Canterbury for term 3!
Four South Canterbury schools earned some well-deserved treats at the end of term 3 for their commitment to keeping their classrooms clean.
Students at Ashburton Intermediate, St Joseph School, Tinwald School, and Beaconsfield School enjoyed pizza and ice creams as part of the Cleanest Classroom Awards. These students took responsibility for keeping their learning environments clean and tidy, which helped franchise owners manage their cleaning tasks more efficiently.
The Cleanest Classroom Awards were presented to the following winning classrooms:
- Music Room, Ashburton Intermediate.
- Room 7 (Matai) and Room 12 (Manuka), Tinwald School.
- Rooms 2 and 3, Beaconsfield School.
- Room Kiwi Rua, St Joseph School.
South Canterbury Regional Master Franchisee Rob Glenie was delighted to wrap up another school term on a positive note.
“Many schools combine our RecycleKiwi programme and Cleanest Classroom Awards, so while keeping their rooms tidy, they also learn about using the right bins when picking things up off the floor.”
The Cleanest Classroom Awards also give students the opportunity to meet the cleaning teams who come in after they’ve left school for the day. Students gain a deeper appreciation for the effort involved in maintaining their learning environment.
Rob says that each franchise owner looks forward to presenting the awards each term, as it brings joy to both the franchise owners and the students. It’s a rewarding experience for everyone involved.
“The programme is such a great fit for both our schools and franchise owners.”
“It’s a nice way for us to give a little back to our schools and gives the students something to look forward to in their last week of term.”
