Rob shares insights with aspiring business owners in Mid Canterbury

South Canterbury Regional Master Franchisee Rob Glenie discusses starting a business at a recent Keep Learning Mid Canterbury event.

South Canterbury Regional Master Franchisee Rob Glenie recently participated in a panel discussion for an event hosted by Keep Learning Mid Canterbury, an initiative of the Connecting Mid Canterbury Charitable Trust.

Keep Learning Mid Canterbury organises workshops and talks that are open to all, encouraging people to ‘keep learning’. The purpose of these events is to support the growth of a regenerative, resilient and caring community by connecting people, services and resources.

Rob was part of a panel that focused on the journey of local business owners. Drawing from the experience of his own entrepreneurial venture, Rob shared insights on starting a new business. He also explained the CrestClean franchise model and highlighted his personal success as a Regional Master Franchisee.

“With experience of the franchise model, I received a lot of interest from people who related to the concept of starting with a small franchise business and slowly growing whilst maintaining employment in the early years,” says Rob.

The panel included entrepreneurs from various sectors, including marketing, finance, services, and immigration. Rob says the discussions offered a well-rounded perspective for attendees.

Rob emphasised the invaluable support that CrestClean provides to franchise owners.

Although the event ran for three hours, Rob says it could have easily continued for another three, as many attendees had more questions to ask. He’s looking forward to being part of the future panels and sharing his expertise with more of the region’s aspiring business owners.
