Looking Sharp

Congratulations to the Silverdale Sharpshooters, sporting their sponsored bibs from CrestClean North Harbour, for another strong term on the courts! Unfortunately, just one point kept the team from making the playoff for the finals last Monday.
Coach Marty Perkinson, CrestClean’s Chairman of Directors, says the Year 9 team from Silverdale School will be back on the courts again next term. Marty’s 11-year-old twin grandsons are part of the basketball team and his daughter Tina Farnan is manager.
“It’s nice to see young kids playing a sport,” says Marty, who’s coached many of his grandchildren over the years. “We have a catchphrase at the end of our game: we did our best and we had fun.”
CrestClean enjoys supporting schools and education in many ways, whether it’s the range of free posters encouraging school pride and cleanliness, or the free equipment for basketball teams and junior ‘grassroots’ rugby training.
