Inspirational success stories were shared, snacks enjoyed and kids entertained at CrestClean’s first ever Franchise Open Day.

The fun and informative event was held at Greenhithe School in Auckland, with CrestClean business owners speaking about how owning a CrestClean franchise has changed their lives.

Auckland West Regional Manager Caro Wedding says there was a lot of interest from those who attended, about the benefits of owning a CrestClean franchise.

“Hearing success stories first-hand from franchisees was a very powerful experience,” says Caro.

“I think those people who came were quite excited about it all. People love listening to other people’s stories about where they’ve come from.”

Irshad Ali, who together with his wife Sheema, was the first CrestClean franchisee in Auckland West, talked about how they have built up their business over the past 10 years.

When they bought the franchise, Ali was working as a compliance vehicle inspector for VTNZ and Sheema had a job as a night supervisor for a food manufacturing company. Initially they worked around their jobs, growing the business until they could go full time with CrestClean. Ali also became a CrestClean Trainer, delivering training programmes and upskilling events for the Master Cleaners Training Institute.

“He’s very proud of being the first franchisee in West Auckland. He talked about having a day job and then very quickly going full time with CrestClean — and how he hasn’t looked back,” says Caro.

There was also an opportunity at the Open Day for attendees to view a CrestClean van and cleaning equipment and materials.

“We wanted to create an informal environment where people felt comfortable to ask questions. It was very relaxed and we had some good conversations,” says Caro.

“It was a successful day and we look forward to hosting more events like this in the future.”
