Waikato franchisees celebrate a combined 50+ years of business ownership
More than 50 years of CrestClean business ownership was celebrated at the company’s Waikato Regional Team Meeting, where long service awards were presented to eight franchise teams.
Waikato Regional Master Franchisee Nivitesh Kumar says, having launched 22 years ago, Waikato is one of CrestClean’s earliest regions and has many long-standing franchisees.
“It feels great, knowing that we are doing something right. Many franchisees are staying with us for a long time and achieving financial stable financially through the company. It’s a great feeling to see them succeed.”
Mitala and Toromon Mwemwenteata were proud to receive a 15-Year Long Service Award at the team meeting, while Anand Reddy and Krishn and Sangeeta Adhar were presented with 10-Year Long Service Awards, Purva Kathait with a 5-Year Long Service Award, and Simis James, Jande Ganas, Rose Kumar, and Mary and Amadeo Gabay with 3-Year Long Service Awards.
Dorsamy Goundar, who has owned a CrestClean franchise for 18 years and who is also an Induction Trainer, was awarded Franchisee of the Year 2022 for the Waikato Region — the fourth time he had received the award.
“All his customers know him by name and deal with him directly. They don’t call me, they call him! He does everything by the book, and his work is flawless.”
Six franchisees were also presented with a Certificates of Commercial Cleaning Level 1 — Robert Mendoza, Elvira Mendoza, Ashika Kumar, Digna Donglawen, Nitesh Shankar and Liezel Estorco.
This is indicative of growth in the region, with an influx of Filipino teams in recent years, says Nivitesh.
“Mostly they have joined through word of mouth. They are so happy with the money they are earning and the lifestyle, that they encourage family and friends to also join CrestClean.”
Held at FMG Stadium Waikato, the team meeting was attended by CrestClean’s Managing Director Grant McLauchlan, who gave an informative presentation, and caught up with franchisees over lunch.
“Overall, the team meeting was really great. The fact that franchisees get to meet the owner of the company is very unique, because in other franchise companies people don’t necessarily know who the owner or managing director is. It makes them feel valued and is really appreciated,” say Nivitesh.
